New Reader: You are welcome and well come here

Dear Gentle Reader,

I am, for all intents and purposes, both invisible and immortal; for I am the Scribe with the anointed task of writing the Chronicles of Amberleigh.

What, one might ask, are these Chronicles? I would be forced to answer that they are only the most important history documenting the actions that lead to the formation of the island queendom of Amberleigh.

They are the mythic stories of Gwendolyn, healer and animal friend, who is caught between the worlds of Elf-kind and human-kind. Troubled by forces both without and within, she must maintain balance in a restless world. Eventually these events will lead her to the throne of Amberleigh, but she is not particularly happy about it.

And how do I know that they are accurate? For the simple answer that I was there, bravely accompanying the Lady Gwendolyn in her adventures on the troublesome and treacherous journey to Queendom.

How are these weighty tomes organized?

Volume 1: Prelude gives a simple introduction to the events leading directly the storyline.

Volume 2: Sketches of Heroes gives the background and basis sketches of the main heroic characters.

Volume 3: Sketches of Villains gives the background and basis sketches of the main villainic characters, along with associated monsters and minions.

Volume 4: The Clues in the Crumbly Castle is where we are in the present state of the history.

Vignettes: are short stories ranging from pre-history to post-history, often dealing with backgrounds or sidelight stories.

How does one view these marvelous tomes?

At the moment, Amberleigh Chronicles in on HIATUS. We are currently developing another project. When we return to Leeland, the entire archive will soon be on-line and can be viewed without further recompense.

When we return, Prelude will also be loaded and available for viewing.

Sketches of Heroes and Sketches of Villians are background pieces and will be available later on, after most of the spoilers are advanced in in the Chronicles.

After release, one will be able to purchase the printed or PDF versions of said tomes, in the Showroom [Buy Stuff]. New collections should be available once per year when we get rolling.

Readership

These stories are heroic in the Classical sense; if one is ready to read Bulfinch's Mythology, one is well able to read and understand The Chronicles. They deal with all the mythological elements, including a search for truth and justice, deeper understanding of the natural and magie worlds, and of the nature and abilities of homo sapiens and other hominid races. They deal with enduring emotions of honesty, compassion, devotion to a higher ideal, as well as jealousy, hatred, and intolerance, many of the same emotional challenges that we face today.

As in all mythic stories, there is Violence, but less than one would see on TV. There is Magie, nature-based magical energies. There are adult situations dealing with situational ethics and male-female interactions, similar to what one would find in any Mythology book.

Rating: T - Teens and up

And so, Gentle Reader, follow me as we turn the pages together on the mystical, marvelous history of the Amberleigh Chronicles.
